Our Story
Comedy that brings the city together
Laugh It Off MTL started in the fall of 2025. Since then we've been filling rooms, helping people discover new spots across the city, and supporting local businesses by bringing crowds through the door with comedy.
The name comes from something real. When times get hard, you still have to find a reason to laugh. That's what this is about.
Whatever you're going through, come join us and laugh it off.

Hey, Daniel here!
I'm the organizer behind Laugh It Off MTL. I first started standup almost 10 years ago with the hopes of one day making it big. Well, here I am years later making my mark in the city I love most.
In 2025, I came to a friend with the idea of running shows at his bar, and that I could host them. The first show was a success with a sold out room. Since then, Laugh It Off MTL has expanded to several venues across the city including comedy shows in the Plateau, Pointe Saint Charles, Griffintown, NDG, Little Italy, Old Port, and others.
My hope is to make Montreal the #1 place for comedy in the world, showcasing our local talent while helping locals and visitors discover the best venues through laughter. Hope to see you at the next show!
